As a company we are following government guidelines and we advise all of our candidates and clients to do the same.
Useful links:

- Guidance issued by Public Health England and the Department for Health.
Additional information for anyone working in the education sector can be found on the government website under Guidance for Educational Settings.
Current COVID-19 advice
Symptoms:
At the time of writing, the common symptoms are:
- Respiratory symptoms
- Fever, cough
- Shortness of breath
- Breathing difficulties
Hygiene:
The current guidance is to:
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
- Put used tissues in the bin immediately.
- Wash your hands with soap and water often - do this for at least 20 seconds.
- Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

Testimonial Tuesday
I have been working for Cover since going back to work after the birth of my son in 2013. My husband and I decided that supply teaching would work well with his shift work, enabling me to work on my husband’s days off. This gave us valuable family time back and it also meant that we didn’t have to use childcare for our little boy.
I love working for Cover. They have always taken into consideration my skills, areas of expertise and my preferences when matching me with schools. Unlike other agencies I have worked for, they never try to push me into working in a year group or school I am uncomfortable with. Because of this, I have been able to build up a good rapport with a small group of schools (my favourites) over the years. I am always requested for by my regular schools, which takes up most of my working week and means that I rarely go to new schools. This is great for me, as I love to feel part of a team and my schools certainly make me feel this way.
When Cover was taken over by Class People, I was worried that things would change and that I would lose my regular schools. However, Maddie and her team have worked very hard to make sure that they retain good working relationships with their schools and teachers, communicate efficiently and get me enough work for my availability. I always recommend Cover to teachers looking to do supply, as the best company to work for.

I'd like to thank you all at over Teachers for all the work you have provided me with over the time I have been working with you. It has given me a lot more experience and confidence in my teaching and played a huge part in preparing me for my full time job in September.
I would highly recommend Cover Teachers to anyone I knew who wanted to do supply teaching and I would definitely rejoin your services if I ever decide to go back into supply teaching.

Cover Teachers are supporting the Erasmus+ programme.
We welcomed Gema Solano from Spain 4 weeks ago and she is already half way through her internship in our Bristol office.
The Erasmus programme is a European funding programme established in 1987, offering University students a possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad in another country for a period of at least 2 months.
Gema has been providing admin support for the last few weeks and has really grown in confidence in this time. She has been a great help to us in the office and we're confident that Gema will go back to Spain with improved English and business knowledge.
Gema says:
“I was very interested in the Erasmus programme to be able to improve my English for my Administration and Finance course. I have really enjoyed my time at Cover Teachers and my English is improving every day. I have also been learning more about the operations of the business and made some good friends within the company. I would highly recommend the programme.”
It's great to have you on board, Gema!

Welcome Back
Our colleague Peter Todd, has recently returned from a cycling tour of Rwanda. Peter has been visiting local communities previously supported by his fund-raising efforts back in 2015 when he cycled across Britain along the C2C route. Peter was visiting rural areas to see projects initiated to improve access to clean water leading to improved farming methods to combat hunger, supported by the charity TearFund.
