Learning Disability for Adult Support Workers required in Brent Knoll

Full time and part time positions available

£9.00 - £10.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for one of the leading charities in the UK for adults and children with autism and learning disabilities. We are looking for people to join the expanding team in the Burnham-on-Sea and Brent Knoll areas. You will be supporting service users within the home, where you will help them in gaining adult independence skills within the home and community, which may include taking the service user food shopping or supporting in daily activities. This role will also include some personal care.

We have full time and part time roles available which can be flexible to meet your requirements. The shift patterns are as follows:

  • 7h30 - 15h30
  • 15h30 - 22h30
  • 7h00 - 22h00
  • Waking Nights (22h30 - 7h30)

 

Please ensure you can work these core shift patterns prior to applying for the role. You must be calm and patient due to the nature of the job, and be able to create great relationships with the service users and the rest of the team.

We are ideally looking for people with a background in care/support work, NVQs and drivers are essential.

To Be Considered For This Role:

  • You must have at least 3 months experience working in the social care sector
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and professional references
  • Have a UK driving license and car
  • Be able to work the core shift patterns
